Retrospective Pt.1: Air Jordan1

Category: By Soe
1985 was the year. Michael Jordan was signed into the Bulls with his undefeated resume (UNC champ and a Team USA star player). Nike team puts their faith on this new rookie and prepared him his own sneakers, the Air Jordan. The first Air Jordan was banned by David Stern because of the black/red color scheme (other Bulls players wear white) and the Bulls were charged about $5,000/ game for it. Nike, seeing this as a marketing opportunity, pays the charges. With this Air Jordan 1, MJ has brought back the Bulls to the playoff and was nominated Rookie of the Year. The AJ1 has 23 different colorways (samples included) and these were quite common in discount racks back in the day. Past retro days, these sold relatively well (2001,2003,2007), even with the the infamous mid-cut version and some strange colored low-cuts. 2008 will bring back the high-cut version of the AJ1 (hallelujah!), dates are posted below.

Nike x Kanye West?

Category: By Soe
For those of you who watched the grammy's few weeks ago:
when Kanye appeared, there are things that you should notice striking: the song, the hair, the jacket, and last but not least.. the sneakers.

"I had on a pair of Nikes too, but I can’t talk about those because they’re not out yet."

Nike barely collaborates in creating new type of sneakers with superstars (unlike Reebok or Adidas), last collaboration was with Eminem (correct me if I am wrong).

1993 Air Force 1 High retro (NYC)

Category: By Soe
Let's talk old school... there was an event where AF1 fans could vote for a favorite pair of AF1 to be retro'ed and this is the result for the people in NYC.. a 1993 pair of AF1 high. OLD SCHOOL! You peeps in NYC are lucky... I have to pray for some pairs to drop to Jakarta (Indonesia, South East Asia if you suck at geography). Very limited as well... I still have no clue when these are releasing.

Terry Richardson x Supreme x Kermit

Category: By Soe
One of my favorite collaborations from Supreme... Terry Rich. the photographer with... Kermit?! It does not get any better than this! (Kermit > Kate Moss) .. Follow up to this is an exhibition in Collette, Paris.. Terry has collaborated frequently with Supreme; one that I could recall right now from the top of my head is the 'teen lust', 'kate moss', and some 'porno lookin' shirt. Correct me if I am wrong. Dunk Hi Be True city Packet - Solid Colors

Category: By BANDIT1
My boys at Sneakernews.com just posted an article about these new special edition kicks that just been released. Created by Allen of 12ozprophet.com, the shoes come with the color red, blue and yellow. Simple design and a wonderful solid color, give these kicks a 10 out of 10. Making it the kicks that could probably stand out the most when your in a building filled with 100 people.

New brand on the streets!

Category: By BANDIT1
Originated from Tokyo, Japan, Rocksmith, and new brand on the streets can be seen everywhere. Their designs have rocked the world of Hip-Hop and their brand can be seen worn by such celebrities and rappers. Their choice of colors are very bright and original, giving it the sleek look of underground street wear. Theres not much to say but that Rocksmith is probably the biggest and largest upcoming brand in the Hip-Hop business. Their clothing line have been sold mostly on the internet and store in Tokyo, although for the Americans out there, you can visit Karmaloop.com and buy their gear from there.

Lazy & SBTG collaboration x Streething

Category: By BANDIT1
2 weeks ago in Zouk, Kuala Lumpur, the "STREEThing All In The Family" event took place. There was an amazing crowd and also amazing art work done by local and international graffiti artist's. Although what stood out the most in this event is the sneaker event. Lazy and SBTG, both representing Singapore, customized a Nike Dunk Hi live during the event. With their great skill and technique, they created these Dunk Hi's to what I like to call them, "A touch of gold." Mad Props to Lazy and SBTG.

Dee Brown Reebok Pump

Category: By Soe
If you remember back in 1991 Slam Dunk competition (when every "ordinary" dunks nowadays were still spectacular), there was this man named Dee Brown. .. . . and Dee made a no-look dunk. Spectacular! Reebok's retro'ing the Reebok pump Dee wore during his dunk. These will be limited to 1991 pairs and are releasing on April 1. UNDFTD will be selling them online, I believe, so go save money and buy some piece of history!

Hey all! I, Mr.A(BANDIT1), and my partner Mr.B(RSA) have decided that we would remake this site and start fresh once again. This reset was also due to a major problem in our last template design, although once again we got everything running.
